PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1. The MWAA does not allow independent meeting events to take place during the MWAA Conference week. All requests for meetings to be held outside of the official MWAA agenda, must be pre approved by the MWAA Board of Directors. All independent meetings held at the MWAA Conference hotel site MUST be coordinated via the MWAA official meeting planners, Travel Leaders. The MWAA strictly enforces this appropriate rules of engagement.
2. The MWAA board monitors all registrations. Registrations are not valid until confirmed by receipt of the MWAA confirmation e-mail.
The 2010 MWAA Conference offers seven registration levels. A description, registration details and applicable fees are outlined below for each category.
Industry Professional/non-exhibiting ISO Attendee
Financial Institution Professional Attendee
Exhibitor Qualifications:
The MWAA hosts an exhibitor hall as a convenience for companies wishing to solicit business or recruit agents during the MWAA conference. Every individual or firm that engages in solicitation or recruiting during the MWAA conference must register as an exhibitor and pay an exhibitor fee. Solicitation and recruiting are defined as:
Conducting any of the following activities anywhere on the conference hotel property, lobby, hallways, and meeting rooms or in the exhibit hall:
1. Distributing literature, brochures, corporate name/logo items or electronic media promoting a company, an association, a group or its products or services. Any company/agency promoting becoming an agent of or seeking employment with a company or membership in any group.
2. Wearing or carrying any button, badge or sign promoting a company, an association or group or its products or services (logo apparel is normally acceptable but the MWAA reserves the right to determine acceptability).
3. Verbally prospecting for buyers of a company's products or services; verbally making a sales pitch or proposal that promotes a company, its products or services. Verbally prospecting for agents, sales persons, sales managers or any employees; verbally making a sales pitch or proposal that promotes seeking an agent or contractor relationship or employment relationship with a company, an association or group
It is the policy of the MWAA to treat a company as an exhibitor if they have ever been an exhibitor at a previous MWAA or other regional conference event. Certain companies are considered exhibitors by the nature of their business, their services and their clientele, such as terminal manufacturers or leasing companies. Other companies, such as registered ISO's, will be considered exhibitors by the activity they undertake at the conference. For example, an ISO that recruits agents, salespeople or sales managers at the MWAA conference will be considered an exhibitor. The MWAA board reserves the right to make the final determination as to who qualifies as an exhibitor and will be assessed exhibitor fees.
The MWAA does not allow exhibitor companies to "coat-tail" or "booth share". This practice is where two companies attempt to share exhibitor table space and save registration fees. Representatives of exhibitor companies must register separately and pay separate fees.
The format for exhibiting at the MWAA conference is table-top only display. Please click here for Table Top Display Rules.
All registered exhibitors must use the table provided in the exhibitor hall. Exhibitors must set up and tear down their displays only during the approved times. Early tear down is not allowed. For safety and fairness for all exhibitors, the MWAA provides specific table-top display rules that must be strictly followed. These rules are provided at the time of registration confirmation. There are no exceptions. A representative of the MWAA will review all displays before the exhibit hall opens. Companies whose exhibits are out of compliance will be instructed to change the display. Failure to immediately comply with the MWAA table-top format and display rules (when given notice by the MWAA representative) will result in the booth space being forfeited. The above-mentioned violator can remain at the conference as a roaming exhibitor provided the additional roaming vendor fees are paid.
FESS AND REGISTRATION DETAILS: Exhibitors register as companies, with two people included in the exhibitor registration ($1,500 online and $2,500 “At The Door” if available). Exhibitors may bring additional people for an additional per person fee of $150 for online registrations and $250 per person “At The Door”.
Roaming Vendor Qualifications:
The MWAA makes available a limited number of roaming vendor positions. Roaming vendors do not have an exhibitor table but may solicit or recruit at the conference. Companies wishing to exhibit after exhibitor table space is sold out may apply for roaming vendor status. The rules for exhibitors (aside from booth specifications) apply to all Roaming Vendor registrants – please carefully review this information.
FEES AND REGISTRATION DETAILS: Roaming Vendors register as companies, with two people included in their registration ($2,000 online, $2,500 “At The Door” if available). Roaming Vendors may bring additional people for an additional per person fee of $150 online and $250 “At The Door”.
From time to time, the MWAA Registration Team will need to evaluate the status of available tables. During that evaluation period, an Exhibitor wanting to register may have to do so as a Roaming Vendor in the interim. There is an option to be placed on the Table Wait List. As the Registration Team releases additional tables, those on the Wait List will get higher priority.
Attendee (Industry Professional and Financial Institution Professional) Qualifications:
“Attendee” is a broad category encompassing any industry participant who is attending the MWAA conference to learn, observe, network and discuss industry trends. The attendee registers as an individual, not a company. The attendee may be an ISO, a bank employee, an attorney, consultant or other industry professional. Attendees are strictly prohibited from soliciting or recruiting. Each attendee registration fee covers one person attending ($300 online and $500 “At The Door”). The MWAA will examine the registration level of every registrant to verify qualification of status. The MWAA board reserves the right to make the final determination as to who qualifies as what category of registration.
FEES AND REGISTRATION DETIALS: An Attendee is not a Merchant Level Salesperson or an Exhibitor. If you plan to recruit employees or sales agents or if you plan to solicit business, then you must register as an Exhibitor!
The mission of the MWAA is to provide educational and networking opportunities for industry professionals, including Merchant-Level Salesperson (MLS). The MWAA encourages MLS attendance by providing all MLS early registrants a $50 rebate gift card.
To qualify for the MLS rebate, the MLS registrant must certify that:
1. He/she sells bankcard to merchants as a direct salesperson or agent.
2. Selling a merchant bankcard program to merchants is his/her primary job responsibility.
3. He/she is a “feet on the street” salesperson, not a sales manager, operations manager, or ISO business executive, owner or partner. (For example: If you manage people for your organization as your primary responsibility, you are not an MLS.)
The MWAA will examine the registration of every MLS to verify their qualification for MLS status. Every MLS must provide an industry business card at conference registration. The MWAA reserves the right to make the final qualification determination.
Remember, to qualify as an MLS, your primary job responsibility must be selling bankcard programs to merchants. You may be contacted for verification of your MLS status.
FEES AND REGISTRATION DETAILS: Merchant Level Salesperson ($75 online and $125 “At The Door”). MLS pre-registration, attendance will receive a $50 gift card upon registration check in! The MLS that registers “At The Door” is not eligible for the $50 gift card rebate.
Non-Industry Guest Qualifications:
A visitor from outside the industry may attend the conference for $100, either pre-registration or “At The Door” registration status. This category can include spouses, college students curious about our industry, friends, relatives, parents, etc.
No one under the age of 18 is permitted to attend the MWAA Conference (including attendance in the Exhibition Hall).
